What Is DePo Clean?

DePo Clean is a theme originally created for WordPress by Derek Powazek.  To use Derek’s own words, “It’s a super-clean, strong-grid design that evolved out of my likes and dislikes with Hemingway.”

I can’t remember how I stumbled across DePo Clean at this point, but I remember I really enjoyed the simplicity it had to offer users.  I’ve had this port in the works for quite a while (as always), but never got around to finishing it.  Now that I’m on a little break from school, I decided to dust off the templates and get this theme finished.

This port is not without it’s flaws, however those are somewhat forgivable.  You’ll notice that the categories can spill over into the post if they contain long words and there are other little nitpicky things but, for now, it is perfectly usable in it’s present state.  As always, the theme contains all the templates you need for your website as well as search templates and a 404 error page.  Head on over to the download page, grab yourself a copy and go crazy with it!  Oh, and while your there be sure to pay attention to the install instructions.  There are a couple of things you need to do in order for this theme to work properly!  Enjoy!

Styling Demo

This post contains a demo of how the different styling elements of all the themes.  It contains the elements you will find yourself commonly using while posting to your site.  Knowing how something looks before you “buy” (don’t worry… this is a free template) it generally helps… right?

Let’s start off with an ordered list right on the index and move the rest to the comments template:

Ordered List:

  1. Item One
  2. Item Two
  3. Item Three
  4. Item Four is a long one to demonstrate how the list items wrap.  Ok, so this might not wrap because of the width of the post area, but it *should* wrap around nicely.
  5. Item Five
  6. Item Six
